CPNP notification of cosmetic products in the EU
Before a cosmetic product is placed on the EU market, the Responsible Person must notify it on the Cosmetic Products Notification Portal (CPNP). We prepare the data and submit the notification.
Legal basis: Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009, Article 13.

Is CPNP an approval?
No. CPNP is a notification, not a pre-market approval. The Responsible Person remains responsible for the product's compliance.
Who can notify on CPNP?
The Responsible Person, and in some cases a distributor who translates labels for another member state.
Is one notification enough for the whole EU?
Yes, one notification covers all EU member states.
